"Since the days of the first wooden vessels, all ship masters have had one happy privilege: that of uniting two people in the bonds of matrimony."
In TOS, Kirk was happy to marry two of his crewmen. In TNG, when Keiko and O'Brien were getting married, Data worried about finding a gift. So it's not unheard of for crewmen to marry.
Three years into the voyage, after the Narada, two crewmembers, Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov, have decided to take the plunge.
The whole ship is a buzz.
In order to officiate well, Kirk did some researching and found something very, very strange. In the wake of the whole world-saving gig, the crew has become... famous. They're being written about. And not always in flattering ways. In fact, they seem to have developed a fandom.
Of course, no one can contain their curiosity.
So people are sending around snippets of fanfic- from awful to awesome, from G to triple-X.
So- who is shocked by who they're shipped with? Who was a secret member of fandom when they were younger? And who is still writing?
And in the end, do Sulu and Chekov pull it off, or do they decide there's a better ship for them?
Thanks to Bubbles for the inspiration.

What the hell do you mean by "for the moment"?

It means I am busy and might have to go do some things in a bit. WHat else would it mean?

Do you remember the day we found out that our parents were getting married, and we decided to do the "blood brothers" thing where we cut our hands and let the blood mix?
You're blood, Frankie. That means something to me.

That doesn't actually work, you know. All it did was make a mess and Leslie thought we'd tried commiting double-suicide and started screaming and the neighbors thought that your mom was torturing you guys and called the GP's and so we had to explain the whole thing and it was awkward as hell.

I don't know what it's supposed to mean. You're the one talking about having Garrovick in your office.

Idiot. I'm entertaining the idea, you're the one who gave me it.

I remember. But the fact that you wanted to be blood, that's what matters. I always thought of you as my brother. Not my step brother, not my best friend. My brother. And that's complicated.

Why the hell would you even like that idea?

Look, you don't have to keep telling me, all right? I get it. Roger's your boyfriend, Janice is your best friend. I'm just your brother. I get it, okay?

Oh, was there part of having a man between my legs am I supposed to dislike? I must have missed that memo.

Not JUST my brother.
Best friends drift apart. Lovers stop loving you. But family is always there. And if that means I've been taking you for granted, then I'm sorry.

Is Garrovick one of your damn regular fucks?

Well. You should be.
Look, I just want some us-time. You know the last time we did anything together? At all? It was two and a half weeks ago. We had dinner together in the officer's mess and Roger was with us and I was just a fucking third wheel.

I know, I've been really wrapped up in him.
Sparring, tonight? And then a shitty holo in my quarters?

Yeah, you are. And when it's not him it's Janice. I know it can't be just the two of us like when we were kids, but I'd like to be able to actually hang out. Just us. Remember how hard we fought to get assigned the same ship, so that we wouldn't lose each other to the 'Fleet?
Okay. But I'm not watching Twilight with you.

Just that he has the potential and should things fall a certain way maybe I would make him a regular.

You know how I get, Frankie. Obsessive and all. I just wish you'd said something before it got this bad.
I was thinking "Snakes on a Starship".

I didn't want to force my company on you if you didn't want it.
No way, you're making it up to me, I get to pick the movie.
