"Since the days of the first wooden vessels, all ship masters have had one happy privilege: that of uniting two people in the bonds of matrimony."
In TOS, Kirk was happy to marry two of his crewmen. In TNG, when Keiko and O'Brien were getting married, Data worried about finding a gift. So it's not unheard of for crewmen to marry.
Three years into the voyage, after the Narada, two crewmembers, Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov, have decided to take the plunge.
The whole ship is a buzz.
In order to officiate well, Kirk did some researching and found something very, very strange. In the wake of the whole world-saving gig, the crew has become... famous. They're being written about. And not always in flattering ways. In fact, they seem to have developed a fandom.
Of course, no one can contain their curiosity.
So people are sending around snippets of fanfic- from awful to awesome, from G to triple-X.
So- who is shocked by who they're shipped with? Who was a secret member of fandom when they were younger? And who is still writing?
And in the end, do Sulu and Chekov pull it off, or do they decide there's a better ship for them?
Thanks to Bubbles for the inspiration.

What. Ev. Er.
Our relationship is purely professional. He would never say anything like that.

If scowling were a sport, he'd be an olympian.
A date? Who's he seeing?

Three. More. Words.
Your relationship is professional, but he's still Jim Kirk. He so would.

I love him anyway. Don't tell him I said that. Captain-Yeoman privilege.
Really. Still?

Well. I'm. Prettier.
I do so. Wait for the wedding. He's gonna ask you to dance and hold onto you all night.

Not a problem, sir.
I'm not sure. They've only just said "I love you" to each other today. It's sweet. They're so lucky to have found each other.

Ask. Your. Boyfriend.
No, just wait.

I. Don't. Have. One.
No, you wait. No such thing is going to happen and you and Roger are going to spend the night taking turns dancing with me just like when we had our last shore leave.

As captain, I'm not allowed to love my crew. I'm barely allowed to like them. And if I were, I'd never tell Bones about it.
Sweet. I hope they're happy. You following the kerfuffle over the stories I found?

James. Tiberius. Kirk.
No, you wait. He's going to monopolize you. Probably with a lie like "Oh, Janny, I can't dance with the other crew members, they wouldn't understand!"

You can't control your emotions. If you love someone, you love someone. You can't just decide to not fall in love.
I think they are. Not really. Find anything interesting?

You. Are. Crazy.
How are you so sure about all of this?

But you can choose not to act on it, and that's what command has explained to me. it's about propriety.
Apparently I fuck anything that moves. But we knew that. You, they tend to only pair with a few select people.
