"Since the days of the first wooden vessels, all ship masters have had one happy privilege: that of uniting two people in the bonds of matrimony."
In TOS, Kirk was happy to marry two of his crewmen. In TNG, when Keiko and O'Brien were getting married, Data worried about finding a gift. So it's not unheard of for crewmen to marry.
Three years into the voyage, after the Narada, two crewmembers, Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov, have decided to take the plunge.
The whole ship is a buzz.
In order to officiate well, Kirk did some researching and found something very, very strange. In the wake of the whole world-saving gig, the crew has become... famous. They're being written about. And not always in flattering ways. In fact, they seem to have developed a fandom.
Of course, no one can contain their curiosity.
So people are sending around snippets of fanfic- from awful to awesome, from G to triple-X.
So- who is shocked by who they're shipped with? Who was a secret member of fandom when they were younger? And who is still writing?
And in the end, do Sulu and Chekov pull it off, or do they decide there's a better ship for them?
Thanks to Bubbles for the inspiration.

He looks at me sometimes and all I can see in his eyes is love.

Yes you are. And smart and funny, too.
Well you'll tell me if that changes, right?

See that you do. If you should misbehave, I will not hesitate to come down hard on you.

Tell em more good things about me. I like when people appreciate me for all my genius.
Of course.

Okay. So Brent has a crush on the old Gallows? Interesting.

I don't know. He's a good guy. Hot and sweet and nice and all. But could I ever really be good enough for him?

You're kind and warm and wicked. You're never dull and you're so ambitious. Every crew member admires you.
Good.

I never said that.

Well I'm not sure. Do you like dinosaur chicken nuggets and Twilight and ridiculously hot sex marathons?

Oh I will. I expect nothing less. And what sort of punishment might I receive if I am bad? I need to know these things so I can keep myself in line.

You are brilliant and whip sharp and kind. I wish more people were at least like you, but no one could ever be you.
You know I have no secrets from you.

I think a girl like you could do with a good, sound spanking. I'll bend you over my knee and lay into your naughty ass until you're squirming in my lap.
What do you think of that?

Well, yeah. But I also like limes in my cherry cola, and watching bad zombie movies and having two cats and a dog and a little girl.

Oh, Jim. You make me happy.
Of course not. How else am I supposed to control you?

So, any advice?

Well let me let you in on a little secret: so does he.

You know that thing we were talking about, ma'am? What about calling me captain?
No one can control me.

You have any proof, of just hearsay and vague conjecture?

Even the part about the limes?

Right. Sorry, sir.
That's what you think.
