"Since the days of the first wooden vessels, all ship masters have had one happy privilege: that of uniting two people in the bonds of matrimony."
In TOS, Kirk was happy to marry two of his crewmen. In TNG, when Keiko and O'Brien were getting married, Data worried about finding a gift. So it's not unheard of for crewmen to marry.
Three years into the voyage, after the Narada, two crewmembers, Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov, have decided to take the plunge.
The whole ship is a buzz.
In order to officiate well, Kirk did some researching and found something very, very strange. In the wake of the whole world-saving gig, the crew has become... famous. They're being written about. And not always in flattering ways. In fact, they seem to have developed a fandom.
Of course, no one can contain their curiosity.
So people are sending around snippets of fanfic- from awful to awesome, from G to triple-X.
So- who is shocked by who they're shipped with? Who was a secret member of fandom when they were younger? And who is still writing?
And in the end, do Sulu and Chekov pull it off, or do they decide there's a better ship for them?
Thanks to Bubbles for the inspiration.

I think you're very harsh but I'm sure it would be no more than I deserved, if I was to be so bad of course. I don't know if my poor little ass could handle such a spanking.

More vague conjecture than hearsay.

He likes it as long as you aren't forcing him to drink it.

Not a correction. But you know, when we're working on the project? Calling me Captain? Yes?
You have no power. I fear no man!

I wouldn't do anything without proof.

Well it is a punishment. Your little ass is not supposed to enjoy it and if you do then I will just have to punish you more severely.

He should try it, it's delicious. You think I have a chance with him? He's so good looking.

Oh. I think I'd like that. Yes. A definite yes.
Then isn't it unfortunate for you that I'm a woman?

Right. Thanks.
By the way sir, what do you think of Yeoman Rand?

I'm certain that if you were to ask him out he would say yes.

Good. I'd like it too.
My life is hard.

Sure.
Yeoman Rand is a fine young woman, and when she keeps her head together and doesn't poison me, she's a great Yeoman. Whyt?

Oh of course. I did not mean to imply I should enjoy such a strict punishment. I ensure you I'll be good and do all I can to avoid forcing you to do such a thing to me.

But he's like, perfect. Why would he want to be with me? Do you have any proof?

Oh yes, so hard indeed.
I take it by your jokes that you're feeling better?

Just wondering. If she were not your yeoman, what would your opinion of her be?

Good. See that you do.
Now then, are you ready?

Because he thinks you're perfect. He told me that he really wishes you'd ask him out. He's too shy to approach you on his own.

I will.
I am just checking my finishing touches, are you on your way to pick me up?

Good.
I'm almost to your door, actually.

I don't know how I cope.
Jan, really. This kind of thing happens once a month. You know that every five months Keenser gets gravid and I'm allergic to HIM? It's insane. I bounce back.

Honestly, Lieutenant, that's a line of thinking I try not to pursue with my crewmembers. It doesn't lead anywhere worth going.

What good timing you have then.

Hey, wanna go out some time? Maybe tonight? I have dinner and a movie with my dopey brother, but after that maybe I could tie you to your bed and tease you for hours?
Also my shift is over. I think you should come cuddle in my room until 1900 when Frankie and I are meeting.

Well lucky you have me then.
Yes, but I'd like to think that I've never hurt you before. I hate that this time I was the cause.
