"Since the days of the first wooden vessels, all ship masters have had one happy privilege: that of uniting two people in the bonds of matrimony."
In TOS, Kirk was happy to marry two of his crewmen. In TNG, when Keiko and O'Brien were getting married, Data worried about finding a gift. So it's not unheard of for crewmen to marry.
Three years into the voyage, after the Narada, two crewmembers, Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov, have decided to take the plunge.
The whole ship is a buzz.
In order to officiate well, Kirk did some researching and found something very, very strange. In the wake of the whole world-saving gig, the crew has become... famous. They're being written about. And not always in flattering ways. In fact, they seem to have developed a fandom.
Of course, no one can contain their curiosity.
So people are sending around snippets of fanfic- from awful to awesome, from G to triple-X.
So- who is shocked by who they're shipped with? Who was a secret member of fandom when they were younger? And who is still writing?
And in the end, do Sulu and Chekov pull it off, or do they decide there's a better ship for them?
Thanks to Bubbles for the inspiration.

Must have been the drinks.
Okay. this morning I need to finish my report on crewmember fatality statistics over the last year. I figure around 1000, 1030 we can take that tour of Engineering? Then I'll be on the bridge from 1130 through the end of beta shift. this Evening Spock and Uhura are giving a performance in the rec room, and I have to go see that. Anything I'm missing.

I guess so. I slept really well myself.
You need to double check and sign off on the duty rosters, but other than that I think you got everything.

Which part was the best? The intense, incredible sex, or the fighting and crying, or the other parts?

Only because I have you well trained. Which is why I can't take the morning off. If I let up now, you'll just slip back into your slovenly ways.

The parts where you told me you love me. Where you said you wouldn't leave me. Where you said you were okay giving me time if I needed it.
But yeah, the sex was pretty damn amazing too. How are you feeling?

Does that mean I get a treat? Dogs get treats when they do tricks, right?
I'm not slovenly. I just operate on a different wavelength.

All of that is still true.
Sore in the best way. Stop me if this is weird, but we should get. Um. A plug. For me. So I can feel you inside me all day.

Well, I suppose so. I'll give it to your during our tour of Engineering, okay?
A different, unorganized, inefficient wavelength. And don't you dare to try and deny it. This ship wouldn't be half as well-run if it weren't for me.

I know. Feel free to hit me if I forget.
That's not weird. I actually really that idea. A lot. Next shore leave, okay?

Okay, that works.
No, you run the whole damn thing. But if you need time, I've told you, you can have it.
