In the world you are entering, there is a Federation. There is an Enterprise. There is even a Captain Kirk.
But in this world, they are not as you know them.
George Lowther, 27, is the captain of the pirate ship known throughout the galaxy as the Enterprise. Of course, he's not the real George Lowther, and neither was the man before him, a fellow called Chris Pike. They're in the process of trading the identity, so Pike can retire, having made his fortune. The new Lowther, real name James T. Kirk, has hired on a crew, and they're off on their first voyage, affiliated with the Federation of Interstellar Pirates.
So. How's the crew doing? And, of course, who's fucking?

I don't see it anywhere. I'm going back to my quarters.

It's alright to be overwhelmed.

You should send Tony a copy and tell him how much cuter our baby's going to be than any of his.

It's more than that. It's more than overwhelmed. It's fucking. Fucking. I don't know. Fear?

Also a fair reaction. I'm sorry for dumping all this on you so quickly.

I don't want this. I don't want any of this.

The plan or the baby or everything?

You're having a baby and I have to trust those people and I don't know what to do.

You don't have to know what to do. You can be lost right now.
You'll learn to trust them in time and it's ok if you're never fully eye to eye with them. Just, for my sake, try not to hate them. And you're got 7 months before that kid is due to arrive. You have time to breathe, time to deal.

How can I feel like my heart is being torn to little pieces and still be strong for my crew? How to I be all these people?

Tell me what I can do to help you.
You can. You find a way and you put on the mask if needed and you keep going. Being a captain isn't easy, leading isn't easy, sometimes you have to fake it through the worst, but you can do it. I'm sorry this is hurting you.

I don't know. I just hurt. I don't know why. I just do. If I knew why it'd be easier. But I just. Every time I think of you holding a baby my stomach turns into sludge and I wanna- I don't know. Either vomit or shit myself and I don't understand.
I realized why you want me to do this. I know. I realized that I want to take care of people, like I did for Rand. Help them and stuff. But I'm note sure I can keep going on that alone.

Ok. You're scared, it's alright. The baby is a lot to deal with.
Once you've found it you won't be able to get rid of it. And you can do it alone, if you need, but you're not alone. You've got a damn fine crew behind you and you've still got me even after I retire.

Look at how cute it is. There is no cuter.

I can drag out Anthony's sonogram file if you want and prove it. Or Lucy or Benji, take your pick.

It could be a lie though. This is clearly the most adorable child ever. Because it is mine.
