In the world you are entering, there is a Federation. There is an Enterprise. There is even a Captain Kirk.
But in this world, they are not as you know them.
George Lowther, 27, is the captain of the pirate ship known throughout the galaxy as the Enterprise. Of course, he's not the real George Lowther, and neither was the man before him, a fellow called Chris Pike. They're in the process of trading the identity, so Pike can retire, having made his fortune. The new Lowther, real name James T. Kirk, has hired on a crew, and they're off on their first voyage, affiliated with the Federation of Interstellar Pirates.
So. How's the crew doing? And, of course, who's fucking?

I wouldn't want you to.
Depends on where you think it's going.

Quiet, I'm not your dad or your caretaker. Now if you both want this to be more than a one off we do this as equals. I'm rough, we're all rough, but I'm not your on call dom, nor can I do that shit 24/7/365. Either of you ever wants to take the lead I've got no problem with that and you are more than welcome. Got it?

Hey. This is a family, remember? Someone hurts one of us,they hurt all of us. They come for you, they come for me. And I have no problem killing anyone who wants to hurt my family.
Yes ma'am.

I'll be watching. And that sounds fine.
Doesn't it?

I think it's bit early to say permanent, how about 'trial run with intent'.

Of course. Good, we'll do that.
Indeed.

No offense, but I haven't had a family in a long time. And I'm not going to be able to feel perfectly comfortable here just because you turned around. I appreciate it all, really I do. But...I don't know if I ever can call anywhere home ever again.
Good to know we have an understanding.

We could just not call it anything if that makes you feel better. This is a 'see how it goes' thing whatever way you look at it anyway.

Let's. Let's just do what feels right.See where it goes. Maybe it won't work.

I'm not ready to make anything permanent yet either. But this...trial run. I can and am perfectly willing to do this.

You don't have to feel it. I do. I want to help you and be there for you. So bring it on. I can take your past.
Indeed.

I think I just agreed to form a troika with McCoy and Chapel. Am I insane?

Date: 2010-06-12 07:18 pm (UTC)Recipient: Lowther, George
You are insane, but not necessarily because of that. Do you want it?

Date: 2010-06-12 07:19 pm (UTC)Recipient: Lowther, George
You have no idea what's in my past. You don't know what I'm running from. How can you be so sure you can take it on?

I want them.

Well, you seem to have accomplished that part.
