2. The cat, Quin, and Suzy

4. Nurse Ogawa, terror of the GP
5. Several relationship revelations

7. A very awkward proposal
Now, it's evening, the day Pike was rescued. What are they going to do with the clone?

It just occured to me I also have to buy cat litter and cat food and cat toys and a collar. Do I need to get a collar? Do cats have to have collars the same as dogs?

Collars are usual for decorative purposes. Perhaps it would be wise to choose the animal, then procure and arrange the appropriate supplies before bringing it home.

True... I'd still feel better if it had some sort of indication of ownership, though. So if it wandered off and someone found it they'd know who to call to give it back. But okay, we can pick out the cat, and then pick out the accessories afterwards. Should probably go ahead and get a box and some litter though. That's kind of, you know, standard.

That's what tag injections are for. You can put its name and your comm code on a hard-copy tag, if it would ease your mind.

I don't know. I was kind of thinking maybe a fresh one- I mean, I don't want to get anything that's almost at it's expiration date, you know?- but everyone I've talked to says that kittens are hard to manage if you don't really know what you're doing. Maybe an adolescent kitten? You know, one that's almost all the way grown up? I don't know. I think I'll just look around and wait for my furmate.

However you think best. You will not have as much time to train the creature as would be necessary for a dog, but I have little experience with cats.

You know I'm very excited about this. Dad never let me get a pet, he said I spent too much time with my nose buried in a book to take responsibility for one. Katy got a puppy once, but one day it ran away to live on Old Man Jenkin's farm and we weren't allowed to visit.
