March 1- The beginning of that "OH MY GOD IS IT SPRING BREAK YET" lull where nothing happens and everyone is getting bored.
Luckily, Archer has just announced that, in lieu of the Copernicus trip this year, there is to be a three-part competition with another school in San Francisco - Botany Bay HS. All seniors are required to participate.
The competiton will be in three parts:, and if you've ever watched one of those camps where the fat kids beat the jocks, you know what's coming.
Part one will be athletic: One team of 5 people from each school will compete in a number of trackand field events. Botany Bay is expected to take everything except the actual running events. Because Pavel.
Part two is creative: One team of seniors will be in charge of designing, producing and otherwise creating a tribute to their school. This is a toss-up.
Part three is scientific: Each school will be building a shuttle. Pieces will be procured from the Fleet, and the remaining seniors will be expected to build a working shuttle craft. Points will be given for originality, but the teams can only use the equipment provided to them. EA should take this one, but BB has some tricks up their sleeves.
The prize? The winning school will be treated to a concert by "The Bleatles" - a new-wave band made up of sheep housing the DNA of the original Beatles. They're HUGE.
In addition, the winners will be treated to a tour of the almost-completed Enterprise, complete with a test run out to Saturn and back.
So, what team is everyone on? Who is going to throw their underwear at Sheep-Ringo? (And how can you tell Sheep-Ringo from regular Ringo? Is there a chart?) AND! What will happen if our Heroes go into space?

It's kind of adorable how all of them are so excited to see the Enterprise. Have none of them worked out that the captain is their class advisor? Any of them could have wormed their way in at any point in the past four years if they'd asked properly.
You probably shouldn't mention that we've had sex in most parts of the ship by now. That might curb their enthusiasm a bit.

I'm still amazed at how often they seem to forget that. I suppose it's partly because we gloss over so much recent history. They forget I've done things and am still an active Starfleet officer. They're all wide-eyed over it. It's endearing, it's a step above even that fresh ensign wonder.
I certainly won't be mentioning that fact. We still have a few to go you know...

To be fair, Chrissie never even realized that the amazing Captain Christopher Pike that used to be my captain that I was always talking about was the same Chris Pike that taught her ethics and history. Most of them probably haven't even realized it yet.
Well, there's transporter room 3, two of the crew quarters on deck 6, and the arts and crafts closet on deck 9. Am I forgetting any?

Okay, well, Pav and I talked out the events. He's going to do the hurdles. I'm doing the pole vault. Those take the most technique. Raj is going to be put on the hammer throw, cause he has the most brute strength. Which leaves you and Len for the 100m dash and the 800m run.

We can start at 6:30, but you'll have to shower at school. It'll be about 10 minutes of warmups, a 20-minute run, 20 minutes of conditioning stretches, and some cooldown. School starts at 7:45. Factor a 50 minute workout and the time I think your beauty routine must take and travel time to and from the track, and we'll be cutting it close.
