New Game: SFA/HSAU: Finals!

It's time for something... light. Something... refreshing.

For the past year, Roger Korby and Andrea Sherrison have been building an android, Norm. And Norm has been, true to his name... normal.

But things are starting to go wrong. Andrea has been moved into the empty bed in Caz and Jan's room (oh, did I not mention that? WELL. It's there. Not a convenient plot device at all) and when Roger's rommmate dropped out, he and McCoy decided to move in together.

Now they're both starting to act weird. Of course, no one is normal, it's SFA and it's finals. But there's something seriously wrong, and our heroes are going to have to find out what.

Did I mention that the top four students in each class get to go on a special training exercise? Well, they do. And competition is hot.

The BMH once told me a story about how his family hosted a French girl foreign exchange student and he learned the language and then the French girl did something that now he hates everything French... which is true to his British genes. XD

Fine, you can quit. Just get off the roof first.

NO I DID IT. IT WAS JUST LATE AND A PIECE OF CRAP AND I'LL PROBABLY ONLY GET A C OR VERY LOW B ON IT SO I WILL NEED TO TAKE ANOTHER LIT CLASS TO GET MY GPA UP/REDEEM MYSELF.

I love him too! I actually only recently got into him and therefore haven't been able to do my full obsessive youtube search, only a partial one ;D

Weirdly enough though, it was my love of Chris Addison that made me love Matt in the first place, when he was picked as his actor.

Lol, bloody frenchies!

[identity profile] captlebubbles.livejournal.com 2010-05-01 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
See, this is what I'm saying. Brits have a natural disposition toward the French that is so deep it may be genetic. His had just been dormant from him living in America so long.

*shudder* Just had to do the Scarlet Letter, I hated Pearl so much. But Hawthorne's way of shoving the symbolism down your throat was amusing!

I hate Hawthorne so much. I have no idea what possessed me to sign up for an American Lit class. Obvs. Hawthorne was going to come up. My love for Paine and Poe skewed my logic.

Operation Hansel and Gretal commencing.

Shit, Dave, we're being backed towards their ship. I think they've decided meat and pickles just isn't enough.

Lol, i was just joking, i think they hate us more than we hate them. In fact its more like contempt on either side;

England: you don't shave your legs or use deodorant!
France: yeah? well none of you are truly beautiful! All your women look like men! (insert french equivalent)

Frank and I are here. We'll act as a distraction. You lay the trap and get the fuck off the roof. Are you wearing patrol suits?

Ah, well it was the first American literature I've ever studied, and coincidentally one of my English teachers this year is a yank! She loved it, and blamed none of us liking it on the fact that we were snobby limeys who only appreciated our own literature. It's a fun class XD

[identity profile] emmypenny.livejournal.com 2010-05-01 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. Not just you. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND likes Hawthorne. And as an American, I am proud to say I prefer Brit lit to what my country has churned out.

[identity profile] captlebubbles.livejournal.com 2010-05-01 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I like some American Literature- To Kill a Mockingbird is fantastic, and Catcher in the Rye- but a lot of the stuff we went over in my high school Am-Lit class wasn't that, which I never understood. And then there's the entire Little House series, which will always hold a special place in my heart.

[identity profile] emmypenny.livejournal.com 2010-05-01 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Little House. And I've already mentioned how much I love Paine and Poe. But the Am Lit I've had to study has been utter crap. I have no idea why they make us read anything so painful as Hawthorne. There are plenty of other REALLY AMAZING authors from that time period (and some even earlier!) who I think would capture students' interest even more.

[identity profile] captlebubbles.livejournal.com 2010-05-01 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
My mom always mentions stuff from Little House on the Prairie and it always takes me several minutes to figure out that she's talking about the show, not the books. Which is fine if she likes the show, but when I was talking about something that happened in the book and she was saying that this character did this and this and this and I'm all "no mom, no they didn't." and she's all "yes, they did, it was such and such episode" and I'm all "*siiiiiiiiiiiigh* mom we've been over this". But Laura/Almanzo was my otp before I even knew what otp meant.

Yes. But how the fuck are we supposed to get off the roof when there are tofu people by the door to the stairs?

The suits, Matt. Use them to call the patrol bikes. It's a little Power Rangers, but you can pull it off.

Lol.

I love the books and I love the television series. Michael Landon is ~dreamy~
