Side Game: Dystopia

In the world you are entering, there is a Federation. There is an Enterprise. There is even a Captain Kirk.

But in this world, they are not as you know them.

George Lowther, 27, is the captain of the pirate ship known throughout the galaxy as the Enterprise. Of course, he's not the real George Lowther, and neither was the man before him, a fellow called Chris Pike. They're in the process of trading the identity, so Pike can retire, having made his fortune. The new Lowther, real name James T. Kirk, has hired on a crew, and they're off on their first voyage, affiliated with the Federation of Interstellar Pirates.

So. How's the crew doing? And, of course, who's fucking?

Sorry, no one was around so I went to be social with family. Which mostly means sitting in the living room to play my game instead of hiding in my room in front of the lappy.

Also, if you wanna do shit with Number One I'm game. Just give me a run-down. Also, does Tony know about her, and is she in on The Plan?

I'm entertained by the idea of 'oh shit spy' ngl. I feel like that could be ~fun. maybe late night this game day she sends the message? Sometime after the officer's dinner.

As far as one I figure, more badass Illyran One ish probably. She's high up on whatever fleet area that is tracking team and they've meet a number of times during close calls/etc, has interrogated him before. and I may currently be writing their interrogation conversations don't judge me

She *knows* he's Lowther but has no proof and then over time he earns her respect and turns her onto the idea of the fleet being not all it's cracked up to be and she starts covering for him instead of really going after him blah blah torrid affair begins(he's totally been hitting on her since they met) and goes on a couple years(?) and eventually he gets her to agree to runaway with him as he retires. She is very much in on the plan and is part of how Pike and Kirk will be escaping I would imagine.

Tony does not know about her. He's probably gotten a similar 'yes, I have a woman waiting for me, no i'm not telling you who' thing that Pike gave Jim but that's it. I'm sure Tony bothers him excessively for it.

/Pixy worked out this Pike's backstory on the drive home tuesday. It kept me sane. He was an orphan and actually fleet for a little while but went rogue pretty early on.

All right, got it. Tony informs me that he suspects Chris's "lady friend" is probably torrid, and One is probably on his list of suspects but he doesn't have anything to go on other than suspicion. He says he's going to gloat a lot the first time Chris brings her to visit on Karzaxx V (the name of the planet he's buying).

w00000t. Pike's probably tried to hint that it's like another pirate captain to throw Tony off the trail. Though Pike refers to One as 'That fleet bitch' most of the time which is probably less masking than he thinks it is. Pike informs me his is aware of that and will retaliate accordingly.

Well, One is going to be completely taken in by Lucy (she never had babies in this verse but kinda sorta always wanted one) so she'll be sufficiently distracted while Tony and Chris bitch at each other. (There's this scene in the Pokemon AU where Tony and Chris are squabbling and it escalades into a battle, and One just rolls her eyes and is all "here we go again" and Vinny (Gary's traveling companion) is all "are they always like this?" and One is all "yeah, ever since the first day they met. Then they end up in a draw and Number One is all "great, another draw" because apparently they never can manage a clear victory).

Is it bad that with that one phrase I think PIke and One should have babies in this verse? Also yes, there will be much bitching I'm sure. Pike will be rolling his eyes a lot.

(teeheeheeheeheeeee I'm sure, they are probably the most annoying and ridiculous of rivals. )

Only if I'm bad too; I thought the same thing while I was typing it.

(They are. Technically, all four of them were rivals once upon a time, with the stronger rivalries between Chris and Tony, and One and Mia, but One and Mia stopped being all "OMG WHO'S STRONGER?" yeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago, whereas Tony and Chris can't be in the same place without bickering and eventually having a battle that inevitably ends in a draw. Coincidentally, Chris also had a rivalry with George, and One had a very strong "GRRR, I DON'T LIKE YOU GET AWAY FROM MAH MAN BITCH" rivalry with Vina, who had a HUGE crush on Chris and was always flirting with him. Chris usually had a sort of "...okay then?" reaction to her.)

(That's because Mia and One are ~sensible whereas Tony and Pike are gigantic children around each other. YEEEEES Pike would be so confused. But he informs me angry!One is hot so I don't think he minds.)

IDK WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THEY WERE ~TOGETHER~?

(Yeah, their rivalry, even when it existed, was mostly just fun friends pushing each other to get stronger, which admittedly that's what Tony and Chris had, their's was just also finding out who was stronger. I'm trying to keep things as close to HSAU canon as possible, so he really didn't realize he liked her back then. Also, he was really focussed on battling and getting stronger and not so much on emotions other than "these guys are my friends and we care about each other", so he would have been clueless.)

THEY JUST CHANGED CREWS SO THERE HAD TO HAVE BEEN SOME DOWNTIME IN THE PAST THREE MONTHS WERE THEY GOT ~TOGETHER. Kirk said it's been 3 weeks on the ship so last time being about a month/month and a half back probably.

(Yep yep. Ah, understandable, then he would just have been lots of confused.)

(Yeah, he'd have thought they were just regular rivals. And Vina kinda followed them a bit, always turning up whenever they were all in the same place and being super-sweet to Chris and not-so-much to Mia and One, who she saw as rivals. She was a bit neutral to Tony, because he was a boy and cute but not dear Christopher, which is funny cause he had a bit of a crush on her for a while.)
