In the world you are entering, there is a Federation. There is an Enterprise. There is even a Captain Kirk.

But in this world, they are not as you know them.

George Lowther, 27, is the captain of the pirate ship known throughout the galaxy as the Enterprise. Of course, he's not the real George Lowther, and neither was the man before him, a fellow called Chris Pike. They're in the process of trading the identity, so Pike can retire, having made his fortune. The new Lowther, real name James T. Kirk, has hired on a crew, and they're off on their first voyage, affiliated with the Federation of Interstellar Pirates.

So. How's the crew doing? And, of course, who's fucking?

ALSO I MARRIED HIM AND ONE OFF IN MY POKEMON AU THAT I'M NOT ACTUALLY GONNA WRITE. HE GAVE HER A BUDEW FOR A RANDOM PRESENT AND WHEN GARY AND CO WALKED IN ON THEM TRAINING THEY WERE JUST ABOUT TO START A BATTLE AND WERE NAMING THE STAKES AND ONE WAS ALL "WINNER GETS A KISS?" AND TONY, WHO WAS WITH THEM AT THE MOMENT, WAS ALL "CAN'T YOU TWO CONTROL YOURSELVES FOR ONCE?" IN MY HEAD IT WAS CUTE.

I know. But I have literally had to avoid Pike fic lately over it and I'm starting to get over it and since I don't have much inclination for Pike/Tony besides 'woo hot' it would be difficult for me to do rn.

THAT SOUNDS REALLY REALLY CUUUUUUUUTE.

Long, complicated, characterization things and who he should be shipped with and tos vs aos, and whether poly ships work for Pike and there's a fic that broke me and I'm about to drive 6 hours home so I can't get into it now.

Oh. Well it didn't say they were involved. Maybe they're friends who go way back despite that one is a pirate and one is a pirate hunter? And Tony wants to "capture" Chris so he can get the bounty so he can retire on it, and isn't bothered because he knows Chris will escape the minute he does?

Ok that we could do, though with Jim taking over the name there wouldn't really be a bounty since Pike wouldn't be wanted as himself. And If you'd like me to pick up someone else for Tony I'd be up for that since I'm raining on parades with my current hangups.

Well, that's true. Idk, maybe it's some elaborate plan where he's going to nab both of them as a final test for Kirk or something? Then he'd get the bounty on Lowther whichever one the officials thought it was, Chris could retire, Kirk could take over the ship on his own with some bs about how Chris didn't make it out alive and he needs a new XO, how about you, you pointy-eared weirdo, and Tony can go live on some back planet with his kids (finally), who are the only reason he wants to retire in the first place.

Eh, I'll think about it, but I don't really have anyone specific (other than Chris, but that's a given thing) that I wanna ship him with.
