Side Game: Dystopia

In the world you are entering, there is a Federation. There is an Enterprise. There is even a Captain Kirk.

But in this world, they are not as you know them.

George Lowther, 27, is the captain of the pirate ship known throughout the galaxy as the Enterprise. Of course, he's not the real George Lowther, and neither was the man before him, a fellow called Chris Pike. They're in the process of trading the identity, so Pike can retire, having made his fortune. The new Lowther, real name James T. Kirk, has hired on a crew, and they're off on their first voyage, affiliated with the Federation of Interstellar Pirates.

So. How's the crew doing? And, of course, who's fucking?

...if we really wanted something BIG we could have Number One(fuckit I'm too lazy to find another woman it could be and going with the 'she's on the team hunting him' down thing I mentioned earlier) tip off Pike that her superiors/someone managed to get a spy on the ship.

that would cause some ruckus.

....it could. We would just need a spy. If you're willing to be One, I'm willing to go along with your hair-brained scheme!

We would need a spy. It would be behind the scenes ruckus-y. Hmmmm. I have to think if this is a good hairbrained scheme or not.

Yeah can't say I trust anyone on this ship farther than I can throw them right now. And for all the stories about Lowther it's like no one actually knows a damn thing about him.

You have his medical records, don't you? Anything that could give us a hint in there?

I do. They're incomplete though. The injuries, the allergies, that's all there -or at least enough of it to look like it
s all there, but the background info's almost about all missing.

Do you think...do you think that maybe this is an imposter? That maybe he killed the real Captain Lowther or...made some kind of deal with him and is masquerading around playing dress up or something? He seems really young to have accomplished all that he's supposed to have.

I don't sound paranoid, do I?

You do sound paranoid but I can't say it's all unfounded. No way the kid's old enough to have done it all, Lowther's been rumored for ages. Unless it is all just rumor, stories of other pirates mixed together or something. Not like there's ever been a clear picture of the guy.

Could be, but how would the name Lowther get mixed into the older stories then? Other than his first mate, who do you think was recruited first? They might know something.

I'll admit to being intrigued by the idea, but I doubt he'd be for it. Doesn't like me much yet.

I know.

Of course not, you're innocent as hell.

Yeah, that is kinda hot. We can try it, once we get the other closets in.

HI WAS IT A GOOD NAP?

I'm not a pirate, I don't know how this shit works, but face it, rumors fly and get twisted all the time, maybe a Lowther was around at some point but has been dead and gone for ages. Bridge crew most likely, department heads, those must've been the first to be recruited.

Yes, it seems as if he is decidedly not interested. No way I can sway him. Sorry.

Yeah, I figured. If you ever decide you'd like a ride, the invitation stands. No harm no foul if you say no.

HI THAT IS GOOD. THOSE ARE BOTH GOOD THINGS.

Doesn't seem as if most of us are. Seems like the majority of this crew is new to pirating. Not necessarily illicit activity in general, but just about everyone I've spoken to has never operated on this level. Maybe. Think they'd know anything?

I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.

Most of them seem to know what they're doing though. I don't know, they're a better bet at least I figure.
